The Society Of Revolutionary Republican Women
- May 1793: Pauline Leon and Claire Lacombe founded the society of Revolutionary Republican Women, which was becoming very popular
- it's members wanted stricter price controls, to drive out food hoarders, and to have the right to wear the revolutionary cap only worn by male citizens
- October 1793: Jacobins banned all women's clubs and societies
Other women were oppressed during this time such as:
- Olympe De Gouges
- She was opposed to the Terror
- she was tried and guillotined in November 1793
- Women were also excluded from the French army and attending meetings/galleries of the Convention
